About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Dial-up Ventures PH, the operator of Karaoke.com.ph (“we”, “us”, “the platform”). By creating an account, booking or listing, you accept them, together with our Privacy policy and Cancellation policy.
Karaoke.com.ph is a marketplace. We connect customers with independent rental operators; we do not own the machines and we are not a party to the rental itself. The rental contract is between you and the operator you book.
Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You can browse without an account. An account is created the first time you sign in, and we tell you so before it happens.
- One account can be both a customer and an operator. Becoming an operator requires completing operator onboarding and verification.
- Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- The information you give us, including your event address and mobile number, must be accurate.
How booking works
Search results show only machines from operators whose declared service area covers your event address, and that are available on your dates. Availability is live: a machine is shown as available only if the operator’s calendar is free for your dates, including their setup and return buffers.
When you pay the deposit and service fee at checkout, your booking is confirmed immediately. There is no operator approval step and no pending state. Your confirmation shows the booking ID, your dates, the deposit paid, the balance due on delivery and the drop-off window.
During checkout the machine is held for you for a short time. If payment does not complete before the hold expires, the machine is released to other customers.
Prices and payment
Every listing shows the price per day, the delivery fee for your address, the deposit, and our service fee, before you reach checkout. Amounts are in Philippine pesos.
- Rental total = price per day × billable days + delivery fee + any extras. Billable days are counted as calendar days in Philippine time.
- Charged at checkout = deposit + service fee. This is the only amount charged online.
- Balance on delivery = rental total − deposit, paid directly to the operator when the machine is delivered.
Online payments are processed by PayMongo and accept GCash, Maya and Visa or Mastercard. The operator issues the official receipt for the rental; we issue the receipt for the service fee.
The deposit
The deposit is an advance payment applied to the rental price. It is not a damage or security bond. Damage claims are never deducted from it, and it is never held back for that purpose. Whether the deposit is refunded when a booking is cancelled is set out in the Cancellation policy.
The service fee
Our service fee is a flat amount per booking, shown on the listing page as its own line item and charged together with the deposit. It is never added to your balance on delivery. Operators pay nothing to list or to transact on the platform. Whether the fee is refunded on cancellation is set out in the Cancellation policy.
Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations, no-shows, operator failures and force majeure are handled under our Cancellation policy, which forms part of these terms and is shown to you before you pay. Where a refund is due we initiate it promptly; GCash and Maya refunds typically reflect within 24 hours, and card refunds can take up to 30 days depending on your bank.
Delivery and confirmation
The operator marks the booking as delivered when the machine arrives. You will be asked to confirm delivery through My bookings, email or SMS. If you do nothing, delivery is treated as confirmed 24 hours after the operator marked it, unless you open a dispute in that window. Confirmed delivery releases the operator’s payout.
Terms for operators
- You must complete verification before your listings go live. Verification confirms the details described during onboarding; it is not a guarantee we make to customers about your service.
- You are responsible for keeping your listings, prices, service area and availability calendar accurate. Block dates you cannot serve; a confirmed booking is binding.
- You keep 100% of the rental price. The customer pays the deposit online and the balance to you on delivery.
- Deposits forfeited under the Cancellation policy are paid to you as compensation for the blocked date.
- Cancelling a confirmed booking, not showing up or failing to deliver results in a full refund to the customer and a strike on your account. Repeated strikes lead to delisting.
- Payouts are released after delivery is confirmed. If a customer’s payment is charged back after you have been paid, we may recover the amount from future payouts or invoice you for it.
- You are the merchant of record for the rental and responsible for your own tax and receipt obligations.
- Customer contact details are shared with you only for delivering a confirmed booking. Do not use them for anything else, and do not keep them once the booking is complete.
Acceptable use
Use the platform lawfully and honestly. Do not create false bookings or listings, misrepresent who you are, interfere with the service or other users, or attempt to access data that is not yours. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Damage, late return and disputes
Damage to a machine and late returns are settled between the customer and the operator. Either party may ask us to log an incident report and we will assist, but we are not a party to the rental and do not decide fault. Disputes about delivery raised within the 24-hour confirmation window pause the operator’s payout until we have reviewed them.
Our responsibility
We provide the marketplace, the booking system and the payment flow. Operators are responsible for their machines, their delivery and their conduct. To the extent permitted by Philippine law, our liability to you for any claim arising from a booking is limited to the service fee you paid for that booking. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes that cannot be resolved with our support team are subject to the courts of Davao City.
